Terms of Use

Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern your use of LineGuy, which is operated by LineGuy, LLC ("we", "us"), a Massachusetts limited liability company located at 25 Ericsson Street, Dorchester, MA 02122.

By creating a submission or otherwise using LineGuy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

LineGuy is intended for users 18 and older. LineGuy shows information about bars and nightlife venues and is not intended for anyone under 18.

What LineGuy provides

LineGuy shows community submitted estimates of lines and crowds at bars and venues. Counts are estimates generated from user photos and reviewed by a human moderator before they appear in the app. They can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete.

LineGuy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the information shown.

Your submissions

• Only submit photos or videos you took yourself, of public outdoor lines and venue entrances.
• LineGuy captures video without audio; we never record or receive any audio from your submissions.
• Do not submit photos or video that include anyone under 18. Images that appear to depict a minor are deleted immediately and the submitting device is permanently banned.
• Do not submit content that focuses on identifiable individuals, is taken in private spaces, or is unlawful, harassing, or misleading.
• Do not submit deliberately false counts or spam. We use rate limits and moderation, and may reject or remove any submission at our discretion.
• By submitting, you grant us a license to store, process (including AI analysis), and display the resulting line information in the app.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

Content that is obscene, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or that targets or identifies a specific individual will be removed. Every submission is reviewed by a moderator before it appears in the app, and we may reject any submission for any reason.

We review reports of objectionable content within 12 hours, remove violating content, and permanently ban the submitter.

Reporting content

Every line update in LineGuy has a Report control. If you see content that violates these terms, report it. We act on reports within 12 hours.

You can also report content by emailing thelineguy@lineguy.net with the venue name and approximate time.

Blocking and bans

LineGuy does not use accounts. Submissions are tied to a random token stored on your device.

We may ban that token and block further submissions from your device at any time, at our discretion, and without notice. Bans are permanent for content involving minors, and for repeated or deliberate violations of these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass rate limits, scrape data, or misuse the reporting or submission systems.

Please drink responsibly and follow local laws.

Third party content

Venue details, photos, and hours come from Google and from venues themselves and may be inaccurate. Hours shown in the app may differ from a venue's actual hours.

Apple

This agreement is between you and LineGuy, LLC only, not Apple. LineGuy, LLC is solely responsible for the app and its content.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. LineGuy, LLC is responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and any third party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms over time. When we make a material change, we post the updated terms in the app with a new effective date and ask you to accept them before your next submission. Continued use after non material changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
